Please be informed that max 2 abstracts per participant are acceptable.
The abstract has to be submitted in English.
All accepted abstracts will be available in a special online abstract book on the conference website. Authors of excellent abstracts may be invited to present at the conference. Posters will be presented electronically at the conference site.
Authors have the option to publish an email address with the abstract to enable interested parties to contact them directly. The email address will be the one given when submitting the abstract.
Criteria for abstract submission
Abstracts should meet the following criteria:
1. Title of abstract text: The title should clearly and succinctly identify the contents of the abstract. Be sure to use title casing. Capitalize the first letter of each word except prepositions, articles, and names of species.
2. Authors and Affiliations: Enter each author separately and identify whether the individual is the primary author or a coauthor. Enter each name by providing the author’s name and organization. Do not include the department, division, branch, street address, etc., when completing the organization information.
3. Category
The following category selections will be available:
- Human Genetics – Inherited Diseases
- Human Cancer Genetics
- Plant Genetics
- Animal Genetics
- Genetics of Microorganisms
- Novel Emerging Technologies in Genetic Research
- Genetics and Society
- History of Genetics
4. Abstract Text
Abstracts must be written in English, explained abbreviations may be used.
References are not required. If supplied, they must be included in the character count.
Abstracts must use the following outline (with the exception of case reports):
- Introduction and aims
- Methods
- Results
- Discussion and conclusion
For case reports ONLY use the following section headings:
- Introduction
- Case Summary
- Conclusion
The review will be carried out according to the following criteria:
Aims-Background-Context: Relevance of hypothesis, clearly state aims.
Quality of Method: Sampling, data collection, analytical strategy; stringency of theoretical position, reference to relevant knowledge base etc.
